Ingredients
- 1¼ cups whole wheat flour (atta)
- ¾ cup melted ghee
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup gram flour (besan)
- ¼ cup semolina
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- Slivered pistachios to sprinkle
- Slivered almonds to sprinkle
- Tea for serving
Method
- Preheat the oven at 180° C.
- Take melted ghee in a bowl, add powdered sugar and mix till sugar dissolves.
Add whole wheat flour, gram flour, semolina, green cardamom powder and baking powder and knead till the mixture comes together. - Divide the mixture into equal portions and flatten slightly. Arrange them on a baking tray.
- Sprinkle almonds and pistachio slivers on top and press slightly. Keep the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
- Bring the tray out of the oven and let the nankhatais to cool down to room temperature.
- Store in air tight container or arrange them on a serving plate and serve with tea.
