Ingredients 

  • 200 grams noodles , boiled
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup chopped onions 
  • 4 tablespoons chopped garlic  
  • 4 teaspoons chopped ginger
  • 8 tablespoons soya granules , soaked in warm water and drained
  • 4 spring onions
  • 8 teaspoons red chilli paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 8 tablespoons chilli oil
  • 4 teaspoons vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons sesame oil

Method

  1. For each portion, heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick wok, add ¼ cup onion, 1 tbsp garlic and 1 tsp ginger, mix and saute till lightly browned.
  2. Heat 2 cups water in a pan.
  3. When the onions soften, add 2 tbsps soya granules and mix. Add 2 tbsps water and mix.
  4. Add ¼ of the boiled noodles to hot water and let them get heated through.
  5. Slice 1 spring onion.
  6. Add 2 tsps red chilli paste to the wok, along with salt and ¼ cup water, mix and cook for 2 minutes. Add 1 tbsp honey and mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Add salt and 1 tbsp chilli oil to the noodles and mix. Lift the noodles from hot water and put into a serving bowl.
  8. Add 1 tsp vinegar to the soya mixture and mix. Add 1 tsp sesame oil and mix. Put this mixture over the noodles in the bowl.
  9. Garnish with spring onions, drizzle 1 tbsp chilli oil and serve immediately.
