Ingredients list for Shrimp Cakes - SK Khazana

  • 200 grams Shrimps washed
  • 2 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Malvani masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Rice flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • to serve Green chutney
  • to serve Lemon wedges

Method

  1. Take shrimps in a bowl, add potatoes, turmeric powder, green chillies, malvani masala, salt, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves and rice flour and mix well.
  2. Add red chilli powder and mix well.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a wok.
  4. Grease your hand with oil and take a portion of the shrimp mixture, shape it into a ball, slightly flatten it and make a hole in the center. Make more cakes similarly.
  5. Dip the shrimp cakes in egg and coat it with panko and slide them into hot oil and , deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Arrange the cakes on a serving platter and serve hot with green chutney and lemon wedges.
