Ingredients list for Seyal Dabal
- White Bread Slices
- 2 medium Tomato chopped
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 Green chillies
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1 Lemon
Method
- Chop tomatoes. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add asafoetida, cumin seeds and mustard seeds. When the seeds splutter add onion and sauté.
- Chop green chillies. When onion is lightly coloured, add green chillies and sauté.
- Add tomatoes and mix. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix. Continue to sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Chop coriander leaves. Add 1 cup water and salt to pan and mix. Let the mixture come to a boil.
- Tear bread slices and add and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix. Squeeze the juice of a lemon and add and mix. Serve hot.
