By Sanjeev Kapoor 02 Apr 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Prawns Pepper Fry Main Ingredients Prawns , Black peppercorns Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients 20-25 prawns, cleaned and deveined 4-5 teaspoons coarsely crushed black peppercorns 2 tablespoons oil 1 large onion, sliced 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic 12-14 curry leaves ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1½ tablespoons coriander powder Salt to taste 2 tablespoons freshly chopped coriander leaves 4 teaspoons tamarind pulp 3 tablespoons scraped fresh coconut Method Heat oil in a non-stick shallow pan, add onion, ginger, garlic and curry leaves. Sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder, mix well. Add prawns and salt. Toss well and add coarsely crushed black peppercorns. Add 1 tablespoon chopped coriander and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add tamarind pulp and coconut. Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes. Take it off the heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
