Ingredients
- 1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
- 8-10 curry leaves
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespooon finely chopped fresh coriander leaves + to garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves and sauté well. Add onions, mix and sauté till they turn light brown.
- Add gram flour, mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, mix and cook for another 5-6 minutes.
- Add salt and lemon juice and mix. Add 1 cup water, mix till smooth, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes. Add coriander leaves and remove from heat.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
