Ingredients list for Pav Bhaji Cheese Balls - SK Khazana
- 1 cup Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1/2 cup Cauliflower grated
- 1/2 cup Carrots grated
- 1/2 cup Green peas crushed
- 1 Medium green capsicum finely chopped
- 200 grams Mozzarella cheese cut into cubes
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Pav bhaji masala
- 2 tablespo for deep-frying Oil
- 1 Large onion finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 Large tomato finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli paste
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
- for coating Dried breadcrumbs
- for coating Refined flour slurry
Method
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and sauté well. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and sauté for a minute.
- Add tomato, mix and cook till it turns soft and pulpy. Add chilli paste and mix well. Add cauliflower and carrots, mix well and cook for a minute.
- Add green peas, capsicum, salt, pav bhaji masala and mix well. Add some water, mix and mash and cook till the moisture evaporates. Remove from heat, add lemon juice, mix and set aside to cool.
- Take mashed potatoes in a bowl, add cooked vegetable mixture and mix well.
- Spread breadcrumbs on a plate.
- Divide the potato-vegetable mixture into equal portions, stuff each with a cheese cube and shape into balls.
- Dip the balls in the slurry, coat with the breadcrumbs.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry these balls till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
