Ingredients list for Mushroom, Babycorn And Paneer Tawa Masala
- 6 Button mushrooms sliced
- Babycorns
- 8-10 Babycorns halved and boiled
- 150 grams Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into 1½ inch cubes
- 10 Baby potatoes parboiled
- 10-15 Pearl onions
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 2 large Onions chopped
- 1 1/2 inch piece Ginger chopped
- 3-4 Green chillies chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 4 teaspoons Garam masala powder
- to taste Salt
- 8 tablespoons Tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Sauté mushrooms, baby corns, paneer, baby potatoes and pearl onions separately in one teaspoon of oil each, sprinkling a little salt as you sauté.
- Drain and set aside.
- Heat three tablespoons of oil on a tawa; add onions and sauté till brown. Add ginger and continue to sauté. Add a little water and cook for a few minutes.
- Place the sautéed paneer and vegetables around the edge of the tawa. Add green chillies to the onion mixture and continue to sauté.
- Draw the vegetables and paneer into the masala at the centre of the tawa. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt, tomato purée and half a cup of water and mix well. Cook for three to four minutes , add lemon juice and mix.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
