Ingredients list for Matar Paneer Pizza

  • 1/2 cup Green peas (matar)
  • 100 grams Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into cubes
  • 250 grams Pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Medium onion finely chopped
  • 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespo For topping Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • for dusting Refined flour
  • 1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
  • for brushi Butter melted


  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let the seeds change colour.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add onions, mix and sauté till they turn translucent.
  3. Add green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and coriander powder, mix and saute for a minute. Add ¼ cup water and mix well.
  4. Add green peas and mix. Add cottage cheese, mix and simmer for a minute.
  5. Add garam masala powder and mix well. Add ¼ cup water, mix, cover and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add salt and coriander leaves and mix well. Remove from heat and cool down to room temperature.
  7. Dust the worktop with some flour. Place the dough on it and flatten into a large disc. Spread the matar paneer and top with half the cheese, some coriander leaves and remaining cheese. Set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 180° C.
  9. Transfer the pizza onto baking tray and brush the edges with some butter. Dust some flour over the butter, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Cut into wedges, arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot with tomato ketchup, red chilli flakes and dried oregano.
