Ingredients
- ½ cup green peas (matar)
- 100 grams cottage cheese (paneer), cut into cubes
- 250 grams pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves chopped + for topping
- Refined flour for dusting
- ¼ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- Butter melted for brushing
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let the seeds change colour.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add onions, mix and sauté till they turn translucent.
- Add green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and coriander powder, mix and saute for a minute. Add ¼ cup water and mix well.
- Add green peas and mix. Add cottage cheese, mix and simmer for a minute.
- Add garam masala powder and mix well. Add ¼ cup water, mix, cover and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add salt and coriander leaves and mix well. Remove from heat and cool down to room temperature.
- Dust the worktop with some flour. Place the dough on it and flatten into a large disc. Spread the matar paneer and top with half the cheese, some coriander leaves and remaining cheese. Set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Transfer the pizza onto baking tray and brush the edges with some butter. Dust some flour over the butter, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cut into wedges, arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot with tomato ketchup, red chilli flakes and dried oregano.
