Ingredients for Matar Paneer Pizza Recipe

  • Green peas (matar) 1/2 cup

  • Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into cubes 100 grams

  • Pizza dough 250 grams

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespo For topping

  • Refined flour for dusting

  • Mozzarella cheese grated 1/4 cup

  • Butter melted for brushi

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let the seeds change colour.

Step 2

Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add onions, mix and sauté till they turn translucent.

Step 3

Add green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and coriander powder, mix and saute for a minute. Add ¼ cup water and mix well.

Step 4

Add green peas and mix. Add cottage cheese, mix and simmer for a minute.

Step 5

Add garam masala powder and mix well. Add ¼ cup water, mix, cover and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Add salt and coriander leaves and mix well. Remove from heat and cool down to room temperature.

Step 7

Dust the worktop with some flour. Place the dough on it and flatten into a large disc. Spread the matar paneer and top with half the cheese, some coriander leaves and remaining cheese. Set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.

Step 8

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 9

Transfer the pizza onto baking tray and brush the edges with some butter. Dust some flour over the butter, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Step 10

Cut into wedges, arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot with tomato ketchup, red chilli flakes and dried oregano.
