Ingredients
- 4-5 chapattis
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 5-6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1-2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves + to garnish
- Toasted sesame seeds to garnish
Method
- Tear the chapattis and put into a bowl.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds and let their colour change.
- Add garlic, green chillies and onion and sauté till translucent.
- Add tomatoes and sauté till pulpy. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and sauté well.
- Add ¼ cup water and lemon juice and mix well. Add yogurt, mix well and sauté for 2 minutes. Add chapatti pieces and mix well.
- Add salt, mix well. Add coriander leaves and take it off the heat.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
