By Sanjeev Kapoor 25 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Chicken liver (kaleji), Oil Cuisine Mumbai Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Kaleji Fry 200 grams Chicken liver (kaleji) 2 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 2 Medium onions chopped 2 Green chillies chopped 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 2 Medium tomatoes chopped to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Rec chilli powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped to serve Pavs to serve Ginger cut into thin strips to garnish Fresh coriander sprigs Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till their colour changes. Add onions, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste, mix well and saute till onions turn a light brown. Add tomatoes and salt, mix well and saute on medium heat till tomatoes turn pulpy. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well. Add garam masala powder and mix. Add ¼ cup water, mix well and saute on medium heat till oil separates. Add chicken liver and coriander leaves and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Transfer kaleji fry onto a serving plate, garnish with ginger strips and coriander sprig.
