Ingredients 

  • 300 grams paneer (cottage cheese), cut into small cubes
  • 8 white bread slices
  • 2 medium carrots, grated
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2½ tablespoons green chutney
  • Salt to taste 
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Butter as required 
  • French fries to serve 
  • Tomato ketchup to serve 

Method

  1. Take cottage cheese cubes in a large bowl, add carrots, onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, green chutney, salt and mayonnaise and mix well.
  2. Apply butter on one side of all the bread slices, place a portion of the stuffing on 4 slices and cover with the remaining slices with the butter side facing down.
  3. Heat a griller. Apply butter on top of all the sandwiches, place them, butter side downwards, and apply butter on the other side too.
  4. Grill till the sandwiches till golden and crisp on both sides.
  5. Cut them into triangles and transfer them onto a serving plate. Serve hot with French fries and tomato ketchup.
