By Sanjeev Kapoor 12 Aug 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sweetcorn, Gram flour (besan) Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Jain Sweetcorn Bhajiya 1 cup Sweetcorn 5 tablespoons Gram flour (besan) for deep-frying Oil 2 Green chillies chopped 1 tablespoon Fresh mint leaves chopped 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons Lemon juice Method Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Put corn in a bowl, add green chillies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt, sugar, lemon juice and gram flour and mix well. Add two to three tablespoons of hot oil and mix well. Add little water and mix well into a thick mixture. Drop small portions of the mixture into the hot oil and deep-fry on low heat till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
