Ingredients list for Gujarati Kadhi - SK Khazana
- 1 1/2 cups Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Gram flour
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-green chilli paste
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 3 Cloves
- 1 inch sti Cinnamon
- 5 Curry leaves
- 4 Round red chillies
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Take yogurt in a bowl, add gram flour, ginger-green chilli paste and salt and whisk well. Add 3½ cups water and whisk again till you get a smooth mixture.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick deep pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add asafoetida, cloves, cinnamon, curry leaves and round red chillies, mix and sauté for a minute on medium heat.
- Add the yogurt mixture and mix well. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add sufficient water, sugar and coriander leaves and mix. Cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
