Ingredients list for Dahi Bhaat
- 1 1/2 cups Yogurt
- 3 cups Rice
- 1 1/2 cups Milk
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 9-10 Curry leaves
- 2 Dried red chillies seeded
- 1 teaspoon Ginger finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Carrot grated
- 1 tablespoon Cucumber grated
- to taste Salt
Method
- Place yogurt in a bowl and whisk well. Add rice and mash while mixing. Add milk and mix well. Keep the mixture aside for 4 hours.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add asafoetida, mustard seeds, curry leaves, dried red chilies, ginger, and sauté till fragrant.
- Pour it over the rice mixture. Add carrot, cucumber and salt and mix well. Serve cold.
