Crispy Chicken Cutlets

Ingredients list for Crispy Chicken Cutlets

  • 1 cup Chicken mince
  • to shallow fry Oil 1 tablespoon +
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 medium Potatoes boiled and peeled
  • for coating Bread crumbs dried, 3 tablespoons +
  • 1 Egg

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for a minute. Add onion, mix and sauté till translucent.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté well. Add chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well.
  3. Add chicken mince, mix and cook till the chicken is fully done. Add coriander leaves and mix. Transfer in a bowl and cool.
  4. Grate in the potatoes and mix well. Add breadcrumbs and mix again.
  5. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into cutlets.
  6. Beat the egg with little salt in a bowl.
  7. Dip the cutlets in the beaten egg and coat with the breadcrumbs.
  8. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Place the cutlets in it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden and crisp from both sides.
  9. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
