Ingredients list for Cornflakes Chivda
- 2 cups Corn Flakes
- 2tbsps + to deep fry Cashewnuts
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 2 Green chillies slit
- 5-6 Curry leaves
- 20-25 Raisins
- 20-25 Cashewnuts
- 2 teaspoons Turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/4 cup Roasted peanuts
- 1/4 cup Roasted chana dal (dalia)
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry cornflakes till crisp but not coloured.
- Drain on absorbent paper. Heat two tablespoons oil in another pan and add mustard seeds.
- When they splutter, add green chillies, curry leaves, raisins and cashewnuts and sauté for a minute and take it off the heat.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, sugar, peanuts, chana dal and cornflakes and toss.
- When completely cooled, store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.
