Ingredients
- 2 cups green peas
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 inch ginger,chopped
- 1 green chilli, chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Ginger juliennes for garnishing
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and when the seeds change colour, add ginger and green chilli and sauté well.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, mix well and sauté for ½ a minute.
- Add green peas and toss to mix. Cook till the green peas are tender.
- Add salt, garam masala powder and mix well.
- Add lemon juice and chopped coriander and mix well. Garnish with ginger juliennes and serve hot.
