Ingredients list for Besan ki Masala Roti - SK Khazana
- 1/2 cup Gram flour (besan)
- 1 cup Whole wheat flour (atta)
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried mango powder
- 2 Green chillies finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- as required Ghee
- to serve Yogurt
- to serve Pickle
Method
- Take whole wheat flour in a parat, add besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, dried mango powder, green chillies, salt and sufficient water, mix well and knead into soft dough. Add oil, knead again. Cover with a damp muslin cloth, set aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls, dust a little flour on the worktop and flatten each ball and further roll into a thin roti.
- Heat a non-stick tawa, place the roti on it and cook for 1 minute, flip and apply some ghee on top. Flip again and apply some ghee on the other side too and cook, turning sides, till both sides are evenly done.
- Transfer them on a serving plate and serve hot with yogurt and pickle.
