Ingredients list for Bavarian Salad

  • 1 cup Cabbage shredded
  • 1 medium Carrot cut into strips
  • 1 medium Green capsicum cut into strips
  • 1 cup Thick yogurt
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard powder
  • 1 stalk Celery finely chopped
  • ½ cup Processed cheese cubes


  1. To make dressing, combine yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, chilli flakes and mustard powder in a bowl. Whisk well.
  2. Combine cabbage, carrot, capsicum and celery in another bowl and toss well. Add dressing and mix well. Add cheese cubes and toss to mix. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Serve chilled on a bed of Romaine lettuce.
