Ingredients for Tisrya Chi Ek Shipi Recipe

  • Clams (tisrya) , cleaned 2 cups

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic , crushed 1 tablespoon

  • Green chillies , slit 3

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Asafoetida a pinch

  • Fresh coriander leaves , chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Onion , finely chopped 1 large

  • Kokum petals 5

  • Fresh coconut , scraped 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander sprig to garnish


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic, green chillies, turmeric powder, asafoetida, 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, onion, kokum petals and clams and mix well.

Step 2

Add coconut and salt, mix well and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Remove from heat, add remaining coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 4

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot.
