Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Spicy Chicken Lollypops Recipe

  • Chicken lollypops 12-16

  • Sichuan sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli powder

  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons

  • Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste 2 teaspoons

  • Yogurt 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 4-5 tablespoon

  • Capsicum cut into strips 1 medium

  • Tomato cut into strips 1 medium

  • Onion thickly sliced 1 medium

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon + to sprinkle

  • Iceberg lettuce leaves 3-4

  • Lemon wedges to serve


Step 1

Put lollypops in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, Sichuan sauce, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add marinated lollypops, apply leftover marinade on top and sear on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Flip, lower heat, cover and cook till the chicken is fully done.

Step 3

To make salad, put capsicum, tomato, onion, salt, chaat masala, remaining lemon juice and hand torn lettuce leaves in a bowl and mix well.

Step 4

Transfer the lollypops onto a serving plate. Place the salad along, sprinkle chaat masala on top and serve hot with a lemon wedge.
