Ingredients list for Pav Bhaji Dosa

  • as required Dosa batter
  • 1 cup Potatoes , boiled, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon Pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • as required Butter
  • 1 medium Onion , finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli paste
  • 1 medium Tomato , finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 8-10 florets Cauliflower , blanched
  • 2 tablespoons Green capsicum , finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Green peas , boiled
  • 1/2 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves , chopped
  • as required Processed cheese
  • to serve Coriander-coconut chutney

Method

  1. To prepare pav bhaji, heat oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté till raw smells disappear.
  2. Add red chilli paste, mix and sauté for 1 minute. Add tomato, mix and sauté for 1 minute. Add salt, mix and sauté till tomato turns soft and pulpy.
  3. Add cauliflower florets, green capsicum, green peas and potatoes, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add ½ cup water, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add pav bhaji masala, salt and ¼ cup water, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Mash the mixture and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Transfer in a bowl.
  5. Heat a non-stick tawa. Take dosa batter in a bowl, add salt and mix well.
  6. Pour a ladleful of batter on hot tawa, spread to a large thin disc and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Spread some butter on top and the sides and cook till the underside is golden brown. Spread some pav bhaji, grate some processed cheese and fold the dosa into half. Make more dosas similarly.
  8. Transfer each dosa on individual serving plates and serve hot with coriander coconut
    chutney.
