Ingredients list for Khatte Meethe Vegetable Seekhs

  • 1 medium Potato boiled and mashed
  • 1 medium Carrot boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup Green peas boiled and mashed
  • 300 grams Paneer (cottage cheese) grated
  • 1 inch piece Ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dry mango powder (amchur)
  • 2 teaspoons Chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 2 Green chillies, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Mango chutney
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 tablespoons Roasted chana dal powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to shallow fry Oil

Method

  1. Take potato, carrot, peas, paneer, ginger paste, amchur, chaat masala, red chilli powder, green chillies, coriander leaves, mango chutney (or jam), butter, roasted chana powder and salt to taste in a bowl.
  2. Mix well using your hands. Divide into sixteen equal portions.
  3. Take each portion and spread it around a skewer in a cylindrical shape.
  4. Heat a tawa, add a little oil on it and place the skewers on it.
  5. Cook, rotating the skewers from time to time so that the kabab gets cooked evenly from all sides, to a golden brown. Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
