When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Bhuna Fry Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts 2

  • Cashewnuts almonds powder 4 teaspoons

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

  • Onions finely chopped 4 medium

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Tomatoes finely chopped 3 medium

  • Red chilli powder 3 teaspoons

  • Turmeric powder ½ teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 3 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Yogurt ¼ cup

  • Garam masala powder 2 teaspoons

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped for garnishing


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till golden. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix well and sauté for 2 minutes.

Step 2

Add tomatoes, mix and sauté till tomatoes turn soft and pulpy.

Step 3

Cut chicken breasts into small pieces.

Step 4

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder and mix well. Add ¼ cup water, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Step 5

Add salt, mix well and cook till the oil separates. Reduce heat, add yogurt, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Step 6

Add chicken pieces, mix well and cook on high heat. Add cashewnut-almond powder, mix well and cook till the chicken is fully done.

Step 7

Add garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for a minute.

Step 8

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
