Ingredients list for Chapatti Upma
- 3 cups Chapatis hand torn
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
- 2-3 Green chillies chopped
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 3/4 cup Onion chopped
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat oil in non stick pan add curry leaves, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
- When mustard seeds starts spluttering add urad dal and saute for a minute.Add green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt and saute for a minute.
- Add onions and saute till light brown.Add chapatis and saute for a minute.Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
