Ingredients list for Almond Coated Prawns
- 20-25 medium Prawns shelled and deveined
 - 1 cup Almonds blanched, peeled and crushed
 - 2 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
 - to taste Salt
 - a pinch Carom seeds (ajwain)
 - 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
 - 2-3 Green chillies chopped
 - 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
 - 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
 - 8-10 Fresh mint leaves
 - 1 tablespoon Vinegar
 - for deep-frying Oil
 
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan. Place prawns in a bowl, add gram flour, crushed almonds, salt, carom seeds, red chilli powder, green chillies, garlic paste, ginger paste.
 - Tear mint leaves and add along with vinegar and mix well till all the prawns are well coated. Add very little water and mix.
 - Drop the prawns into hot oil, one by one, and deep fry till prawns are cooked. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
