Ingredients
- 3-4 ready-made tandoori soya chaaps
- 8 white bread slices
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- ½ teaspoon chaat masala
- ½ cup shredded purple cabbage
- 1 small carrot, cut into thin strips
- ½ cup shredded cabbage
- Butter for applying
- Green chutney for applying
- Onion rings for topping
- Sandwich masala for sprinkling
- Potato chips to serve
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
- Chop the tandoori soya chaaps into small pieces and transfer into a large bowl. Add mayonnaise, coriander leaves, salt, crushed black peppercorns, chaat masala, purple cabbage, carrot and cabbage and mix well.
- Apply some butter on all the bread slices and spread some green chutney on each slice. Place a portion of the soya chaap mixture on top of 4 slices of bread. Arrange some onion rings and sprinkle some sandwich masala. Cover with the remaining bread slices with the butter side facing down.
- Apply some butter on top of each sandwich.
- Heat an electric sandwich griller. Place one sandwich at a time with the butter side facing down in it and apply some more butter on top of the sandwiches and grill till evenly golden on both sides.
- Diagonally halve the sandwiches and place them on serving platter. Serve hot with potato chips and tomato ketchup.
