Ingredients
- 8-10 fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- ¼ cup sugar
- 3 cups reduced milk
- 2 teaspoons chopped pistachios
- 2 teaspoons chironji
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- A pinch of nutmeg powder
- 2 tablespoons condensed milk
- Blanched and slivered pistachios for garnish
Method
- Put the strawberries in a blender jar and blend coarsely.
- Heat a non-stick pan, transfer the blended mixture into it, add sugar and cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes or till the mixture is thick. Allow to cool completely. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Heat another non-stick pan, add reduced milk and let it to come to a boil. Cook for 6-8 minutes. Add pistachios, chironji, green cardamom powder and nutmeg powder, mix well and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Add condensed milk and mix well. Take the pan off the heat and let the mixture cool completely. Refrigerate till chilled completely.
- Add the strawberry mixture to the milk mixture and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with pistachios and serve chilled.
