Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped dark chocolate
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup yogurt
- 1½ cups refined flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt
- Apple slices for serving base
- Vanilla ice cream for serving
- Chopped roasted walnuts for garnish
- Chocolate sauce
- 1½ cups milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup chopped dark chocolate
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180º C.
- Take dark chocolate and butter in a bowl, keep the bowl over a pan with boiling water and stir till the chocolate melts. Switch off the heat and allow the mixture to cool down.
- Sift powdered sugar into the melted chocolate. Add yogurt and whisk well till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Now sift together refined flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and pinch of salt into the same bowl and mix well.
- Add milk and vanilla essence and continue to mix till it you get a lump free batter.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased and lined square baking tin and level the top. Tap the tin lightly so that air bubbles if any are gone. Keep the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Meanwhile to make chocolate sauce heat 1 cup milk in non-stick deep pan. Add sugar and cook stirring till sugar dissolve completely.
- Take cocoa powder in another bowl, add remaining milk and mix well till there are no lumps.
- Add this to the milk-sugar mixture, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes stirring continuously.
- Add dark chocolate and mix till the chocolate melts completely.
- Add butter and mix well till it melts. The chocolate sauce is ready.
- Take out the tin from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Meanwhile preheat the sizzler iron plate.
- Demold the brownie and cut into squares.
- To serve sizzler keep the hot plate on sizzler board, arrange a few apple slices on hot plate, place 2 brownie squares, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on each square and pour the chocolate sauce over them. Sprinkle toasted walnut pieces on top and serve immediately.
