Ingredients
- 2 medium raw bananas, boiled, peeled and grated
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, boiled, peeled and grated
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin power
- 1½ teaspoons chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Dried breadcrumbs for coating
- Oil for shallow frying
Method
- Take raw bananas in a bowl, add sweet potatoes, ginger, green chillies, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into tikkis.
- Spread dried breadcrumbs in a plate. Roll each tikki in it.
- Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick shallow pan, place the tikkis in it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till evenly golden brown on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Transfer onto a serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
