Ingredients
- 1½ cups-soaked broken wheat (lapsi)
- 1 large red capsicum (lal shimla mirch)
- 1 large yellow capsicum (pili shimla mirch)
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- White pepper powder to taste
- A pinch of sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 tablespoons finely chopped fresh mint leaves
- A few leaves of iceberg lettuce
Method
- Roast each capsicum over direct flame till well charred from all sides. Set aside to cool.
- Peel the charred capsicums and cut into small pieces.
- Take soaked broken wheat in a mixing bowl, add onion, tomatoes, coriander leaves, salt, white pepper, sugar, lemon juice and mint leaves and mix till well combined.
- Add the capsicum pieces and mix well.
- Tear the iceberg lettuce leaves and add and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
