Ingredients
- 3 ripe yellow bananas, peeled and broken into 1 inch pieces
- ¼ cup chopped jaggery
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
- ½ cup semolina (rawa)
- ¼ cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- Oil for deep frying
Method
- Put banana pieces into a blender jar, add jaggery and blend into a fine paste. Transfer this into a bowl, add salt, green cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and semolina and mix well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Add whole wheat flour to the banana mixture and mix well.
- Dip your fingers in water and take small portions of the mixture, shape into a ball, gently slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange in a serving bowl and serve.
