Ingredients
- 1 cup flax seeds (jawas)
- 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 8-10 garlic cloves
- 1 sprig of curry leaves
- 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons red chilli powder
Method
- Heat a non-stick pan, add flax seeds and dry roast for 4-5 minutes. Transfer into a bowl and allow to cool completely.
- Dry roast white sesame seeds in the same for 2-3 minutes. Transfer into the same bowl and allow to cool.
- Heat oil in same non-stick pan, add garlic cloves and sauté till golden brown. Add curry leaves and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Transfer the roasted flax seeds, sesame seeds, garlic and curry leaves into a grinder jar. Add cumin seeds, salt and red chilli powder and grind to coarse powder.
- Cool completely, transfer into a bowl or store in an airtight jar and use as required.
