Green Garlic Bread

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180º C.
  2. Take butter in a bowl. 
  3. Finley chop both green garlic bulbs and stalks. Reserve some chopped green garlic stalks and add the rest to the butter, along with red chilli flakes, salt and crushed black peppercorns and mix well.
  4. Halve the garlic loaf vertically, apply some butter on one side of both the halves. Sprinkle ¼ cup cheese over each half of the loaf, sprinkle the reserved green garlic stalks and dried red chilli flakes. Place the bread halves on a lined baking tray.
  5. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. 
  6. Bring the baking tray out of the oven and transfer the green garlic bread on a serving plate and serve hot.
