Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a wide non-stick pan, add gram flour, mix continuously and sauté till golden brown. 
  2. Add 3 cups hot water and mix continuously till well combined. Cook till the water is almost completely absorbed. Add saffron and mix well. 
  3. Add jaggery, mix and cook till jaggery melts. Add almond powder, cashewnut powder, pistachio powder and raisins and mix well.
  4. Add green cardamom powder, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes or till the mixture begins to leave the sides of the pan.
  5. Transfer the halwa into a serving bowl, garnish with almond slivers and pistachios slivers. Serve warm.
