Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup castor sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- ⅓ cup oil
- 1 cup milk
- 1¼ cups refined flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Method
- Break egg into a mixing bowl, add castor sugar, vanilla essence, oil and milk and whisk till all the ingredients are combined well.
- Sift refined flour, baking powder and salt into the bowl and mix well.
- Peel and cut the bananas into slices.
- Heat butter a non-stick pan. Switch off the heat, spread the brown sugar evenly and arrange the banana slices on top.
- Switch on the heat and pour the batter on top and spread it evenly. Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes. Flip and cook on other side for 10-12 minutes on low heat.
- Remove cake from the pan and cool down to room temperature.
- Transfer onto a serving plate, slice and serve.
