By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Jun 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Surmai darnes, Oil Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Tamatar Wali Machchi - SK Khazana 5 Surmai darnes 2 tablespoons Oil 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped 2 Green chillies finely chopped 4 Medium onions finely chopped 2 1/2 cups Tomato puree 1 tablespoon Red chilli paste to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon Tamarind pulp 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped to serve Steamed rice Method Heat oil in a non-stick deep pan, add garlic, ginger and green chillies and sauté till fragrant. Add onions, mix well and saute till golden brown. Add tomato puree and red chilli paste, mix well. Cook till the oil separates. Add salt and mix well. Add chilli powder and turmeric powder, mix well. Add fish darnes and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
