By Sanjeev Kapoor 20 Jul 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Squids, Salt Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Squid Koliwada 10-12 medium Squids cut into rings to taste Salt 3 tablespoons Rice flour 1 tablespoon Ginger and garlic paste 2 teaspoons Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Cumin powder roasted 2 tablespoons Lemon juice 1 cup Gram flour (besan) 1/2 cup Yogurt for deep-frying Oil 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns to serve Green mint and coriander chutney 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander and fresh mint leaves chopped Method Place the squid in a bowl. Add the salt, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder and lemon juice and mix well. Add the gram flour and mix. Add the yogurt and mix. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Add the squids, one by one, ensuring that the kadai is not crowded. Deep fry till crisp and golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Arrange them in a serving platter and sprinkle chaat masala on top.
