Ingredients list for Spicy Prawn Bharta

  • 1 cup Shrimps cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon Tomatoes
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 4 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 2 medium Tomatoes chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • a pinch Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and sauté till the onion is light brown. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, mix well and sauté for a few seconds.
  2. Add tomatoes, mix well and saute for a minute. Add shrimps and salt, mix well and cook for a few minutes. Add vinegar and sugar, mix well and switch off the heat. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Serve hot with steamed rice.
