Ingredients
- 4 samosas
- 2 cups puffed rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 4 tablespoons grated carrot
- 4 tablespoons grated beetroot
- 2 tablespoons chopped raw mango
- 4 tablespoons masala dal
- 4 tablespoons pomegranate pearls
- 4 tablespoons green chutney
- 4 tablespoons date and tamarind chutney
- 1 lemon
- 6 tablespoons grated processed cheese
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 4 tablespoons sev + for sprinkling
- 4 teaspoons roasted cumin powder
- Boondi for garnish
- Freshly chopped coriander for garnish
Method
- Take puffed rice in a large bowl, add onion, tomato, carrot, beetroot, raw mango, masala chana dal, pomegranate pearls, green chutney and date and tamarind chutney.
- Break samosas and add. Squeeze the juice of lemon over the mixture. Add cheese, red chilli powder, salt, chaat masala, sev and roasted cumin powder. Mix everything gently till well combined.
- Transfer the bhel equally into serving plates, garnish with boondi, sev, and coriander leaves and serve immediately.
