Ingredients list for Prawn Curry with Tomato
- 1 cup Prawns (medium) shelled and deveined
- ½ cup Tomato puree
- to taste Salt
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 4 Dried red chillies
- 4-5 Cloves
- 4-5 Black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1 cup Coconut milk
- 2 Green chillies slit
Method
- Take prawns in a bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder and ginger-garlic paste, mix well and set aside.
- Grind together dried red chillies, cloves, peppercorns and coriander seeds with some water to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion, mix and sauté till golden. Add prepared paste, mix and cook for a minute.
- Add prawns, mix and sauté for a minute. Add tomato puree and mix well. Add some water, mix, cover and cook on low heat for 2 minutes.
- Add coconut milk, mix and cook on high heat for a minute. Add green chillies, mix and bring to a boil.
- Serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
