Ingredients list for Pav Bhaji Burger-SK Khazana
- 2 Medium potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 2 tablespoons Green peas blanched and crushed
- 1 tablespoon Cauliflower boiled and grated
- 1 tablespoon Green capsicum finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Tomato finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Onion finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons Pav bhaji masala
- 4 Burger buns
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 cup + for coating Dried breadcrumbs
- to deep fry Oil
- as required Refined flour (maida) slurry
- as required Butter
- as required Mustard paste
- as required Iceberg lettuce leaves torn
- 1 Medium onion cut into round slices and layers separated
- 1 Medium tomato cut into round slices
- 4 Cherry tomatoes
Method
- Mix together potatoes, green peas, cauliflower, capsicum, tomato, onion, ginger-garlic paste, chilli paste, chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, coriander leaves and salt in a bowl. Add breadcrumbs and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Divide the mixture into large equal portions and shape into patties. Dip them in the slurry and coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat the process.
- Deep-fry patties in hot oil till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Halve burger buns horizontally and apply some butter on each half. Spread some mustard paste on each half. Place some iceberg lettuce leaves on 4 base halves, top with a patty, some more iceberg lettuce leaves, some onion rings and a tomato slice. Cover with top halves and secure with a toothpick on which a cherry tomato is skewered.
- Serve immediately.
