Ingredients list for Pateta Na Sada Pattice

  • 5 medium Potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 3 medium Green Peas boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup Green peas boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds roasted and ground
  • 1 teaspoon Pickled green pepper coarsely ground
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • 4-6 Eggs
  • 2 cups Bread crumbs
  • to shallow fry Oil

Method

  1. Mix well all the ingredients except eggs, bread crumbs and oil. Dampen palms and divide the mixture into twenty equal portions and flatten each to a half centimeter thick roundel.
  2. Dust the pattice in breadcrumbs. Whisk the eggs and season. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  3. Dip the dusted pattice in the whisked eggs and deep fry till crisp. Remove, drain onto an absorbent paper and serve hot.
