Ingredients
- 250 grams cottage cheese (paneer) cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 green chilli, chopped
- 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon pav bhaji masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 small green capsicum, cut into small squares
- 1 small yellow capsicum, cut into small squares
- 2 tablespoons fresh cream
- 1 tablespoon cashewnut paste
- Onion rings for garnish
- Lemon wedges for garnish
- Fresh coriander sprigs for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and saute till their colour changes. Add onion, mix and saute till translucent.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté till raw smell disappears. Add green chilli and tomato, mix well and saute till tomato softens.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, pav bhaji masala and salt and mix well. Add some water, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add green capsicum and yellow capsicum, mix well and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Add fresh cream and mix well. Add cashewnut paste and mix well. Add cottage cheese cubes, toss well and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with onion rings, lemon wedges and coriander sprig And serve warm.
