Ingredients list for Mushroom Butter Masala
- 20 Mushrooms halved
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 2 Stick Cinnamon
- 3 Cloves
- 4 Green cardamoms
- 3 medium Onions, sliced
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
- 1 large Tomato sliced
- 1 tablespoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons Kasoori methi
- to taste Salt
- 3 tablespoons Cashewnut paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/4 cup Fresh cream
- 1 tablespoon Butter
Method
- Heat three tablespoons oil in a non stick pan. Add cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms. Sauté for half minute.
- Add onions, salt and sauté till onions are soft. Add ginger paste, garlic paste and sauté for two minutes.
- Add tomato, turmeric powder, chilli powder, kasuri methi. Mix well and cook on medium heat for eight to ten minutes.
- Allow to cool and grind to a fine paste with sufficient water.
- Heat remaining oil in a non stick pan.
- Add the mushrooms, salt and cook on high heat till the moisture evaporates and mushrooms are cooked.
- Add the masala paste and half cup water. Mix well.
- Add cashew nut paste, sugar and mix. Cook on low heat for five minutes.
- Add fresh cream, butter and mix well. Serve hot.
