Ingredients list for Matar Gobhi Masti
- 1 1/2 cups Frozen green peas
- 2 cups Cauliflower cut into small florets
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 inch Ginger cut into thin strips
- 2 teaspoons Gram flour (besan)
- 3/4 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Black peppercorns freshly crushed
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick wok, add and cumin seeds and saute. When the seeds begin to change colour, add cauliflower florets, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
- Sprinkle a little water, mix, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add green peas and mix. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add half the ginger strips, gram flour and coriander powder and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add crushed black peppercorns and mix. Cover and cook till done.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with the remaining ginger strips and serve hot.
