Ingredients list for Malwani Chicken Rawa Fry
- 1/2 cup Boneless chicken cubed
- 1/2 cup Semolina (rawa/suji)
- 1/2 inch Cinnamon
- 3-4 Black peppercorns
- 2-3 Cloves
- 1 Green chilli
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- 4-5 Garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- to taste Salt
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Malwani masala
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- for shallow frying Oil
- 1/2 cup Rice flour
Method
- Grind together cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves, green chilli, ginger, garlic and chopped coriander alongwith some water to a fine paste.
- Take chicken in a bowl. Add salt, lemon juice, turmeric powder, Malwanimasala and yogurt and mix well. Add prepared paste, mix and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- Take rice flour and semolina in a plate and mix well.Coat chicken pieces with rice flour-semolina mixture.
- Shallow-fry the prepared chicken from both sides in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot garnished with a mint sprig and lemon slice.
