Ingredients list for Makai Aur Cornflakes Ki Bhurji
- 2 cups Sweet corn kernels boiled and crushed
- 1/2 cup Cornflour/ corn starch crushed
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1 Green chilli finely chopped
- 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped
- 2 medium Onions finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and once the seeds start changing colour, add asafoetida.
- Add green chilli and onions and sauté till translucent.
- Add tomatoes and sauté for four to five minutes or till the tomatoes become soft.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix well.
- Sprinkle two tablespoons of water and cook for a minute. Add corn kernels and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for four to five minutes.
- Add lemon juice and mix well.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and cornflakes.
