Ingredients
- 1 cup lotus seeds
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 6-8 curry leaves
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 cup fresh tomato puree
- 1 medium potato. quartered and sliced
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- Salt to taste
- 100 grams paneer (cottage cheese), cut into medium cubes
- Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan add green chillies, curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste and onions and sauté till the onions are light brown.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and sauté for two to three minutes.
- Add tomato puree mix well. Add lotus seeds and potatoes with half cup water and mix well. Cover and cook for five minutes.
- Add yogurt and mix well. Cook for four to five minutes. Add salt and cottage cheese and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
